Don't take OUR word for it...

"We had a blast in San Francisco... Your city is amazing!! Everywhere we went it was crowded but it was very nice to come back to the Fisherman’s Wharf Hostel where it was peaceful and quiet. Your staff was awesome!! They treated us better (with all of our many questions) than the concierge at the many five-star hotels I have stayed at. For our first experience at a hostel it was much better than we expected!! We will spread the word!! Thanks again for everything."

"The rangers left San Francisco on Monday morning, after three nights at Fort Mason and two nights at City Center. They had a great time, I must tell you, since I was the person in charge, driver, guide, cook. I was very impressed with the way the hostel is managed, all the personnel at the front desk were very nice and helpful, some of them were very excited that they were able to practice their Spanish. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. I was very happy and I will use your facilities again in the future."

"We had a great time in SF and staying at the hostel made this trip affordable for our Girl Scout troop. The staff was great and so were the accommodations. Will post positive feedback, stay again there as a family and definitely recommend the hostel for Girl Scout and other groups."

"Our group had a lot of fun staying at your Fort Mason hostel location. Being from Florida, we were a bit cold staying right on the water, but nothing could beat the lovely views we had each day and night of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and the Pacific Ocean. Everyone we encountered who worked at the hostel were super friendly and courteous. They all went out of their way to be helpful, and gave us everything we needed. We ended up storing out baggage in the bike room for a while, then we needed to borrow their wheelchair seeing that one of our students twisted her ankle on the second day of the trip up at Muir Woods. They called us a Taxi when I needed to take that student to the urgent care center, then gave us the ADA pass to use the facilities on the first floor. They also helped to get a lock off of one of our students lockers after he locked his key inside. It was a very old and thick lock that needed two men, and two different bolt cutters to cut. As far as the service and location we were able to procure by choosing this hostel, I am absolutely positive that it could not be beat, especially for the affordable price we paid. I would definitely recommend staying at HI Fisherman’s Wharf to any friend or college of mine. Also, your helpful emails filled with detailed information allowed our group to experience more fun and affordable activities that we would normally never been able to. Thank you so much for everything!"

"I just returned from three days/two nights in San Francisco with 26 middle-schoolers and four parent chaperones. This hostel was EXCELLENT for our group. We had very limited means and the price was very affordable. In addition, they have two large, fully equipped kitchens and a dining area; so we were able to save a lot of money by preparing dinners there. The facility is in a stellar location -- walking distance via a beautiful nature trail along the water to Pier 39. It is on the bus route to all other areas of the city. The building itself was great -- worked well for our large group and I can imagine would be a great home-away-from-home for a single traveler, couple, or family (there were a few families staying when we were there and they seemed quite pleased). Best of all, the staff was VERY patient with the high energy of our tweens and teens -- very accommodating, as well.  Thank you, Fisherman's Wharf HI, for a fantastic visit!!!"

"We had a wonderful stay. Been here numerous times with groups of 10-22, and this was better than ever. Pleasant and helpful staff, accommodations clean, great property -- wild parrots greet us in the trees, easy access to all public transport and walks to Wharf, Marina.  Other visitors always make great conversations in cafe, common room. Large double kitchen facility with spacious table area. 24 hour info desk. Nicely curated wall spaces and announcement board for local scene. New filtered cold and hot water in commons made my early a.m. Via preparations a breeze. All windows in room open, which is appreciated in SF for its fresh damp air and foghorns. We will always choose to stay here in future."
